Monthly Meeting

An AI online meeting will be held on the third Sunday of every month from 7:00 to 8:00 PM Central Time.

During each session, students will share recent AI news, exchange ideas, and give brief presentations on AI topics.

The club's discussion topics include Unsupervised Learning, Supervised Learning, Deep Learning (e.g., CNN, LSTM, Transformer), Robotics, LLM and NLP, Computer Vision, Generative AI, and applications in Finance, Healthcare, AR/VR/MR, Education, Human-Computer Interaction, and more.

Meeting Summary:

01 Meeting: Saturday, March 29 | 8:30–9:30 PM (Central Time)

We successfully held our first club meeting! During the meeting, we finalized future meeting times, discussed upcoming activities, and made exciting plans to create a digital magazine that introduces AI concepts to middle and high school students. In our next meeting, we’ll begin exploring AI topics—starting with a comparison of different AI models. It’s going to be fun!

02 Meeting: Saturday, April 26 | 7:00–8:00 PM (Central Time)

In this meeting, Olivia presented her first part of how to use LSTM deep network to predict stock price. Oliver presented his comparison study of several famous LLM models.

03 Meeting: Saturday, May 17 | 7:00–8:00 PM (Central Time)

During the meeting on May 17, Chloe introduced three key machine learning methodologies, providing an overview of their principles and applications. Hanke gave a presentation titled "Deepfakes and Generative AI: How They Work and Why They Matter," offering insights into the underlying technologies and societal implications. Oliver explored the use of artificial intelligence in games, discussing both current trends and future directions. Olivia concluded the session with the second part of her presentation on LSTM deep network-based stock price prediction, including a live Python code demonstration.

04 Meeting: Saturday, June 21 | 7:00–8:00 PM (Central Time)

The meeting began with Olivia presenting Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and leading a discussion about AI's future threats and benefits, followed by Lulu presenting her project on SoilXpert, an AI tool for smart farming. The group then explored AI alignment challenges, led by Oliver, and the future of artificial intelligence, led by Chloe. The conversation ended with Daniel comparing different AI language models.

05 Meeting: Sunday, September 21 | 7:00–8:00 PM (Central Time)

The club discussed a wide range of topics and decided that, in the short term, the club will focus on AI in finance, computer vision, the entertainment industry, and healthcare. Oliver presented his project using AI models to predict the results of congressional bills.

06 Meeting: Sunday, October 19 | 7:00–8:00 PM (Central Time)

Continuing from the last meeting, the club further discussed AI applications in cinema (film and television), AI in finance, computer vision, and large language models for sentiment analysis and stock price prediction.

07 Meeting: Sunday, November 16 | 7:00–8:00 PM (Central Time)

The club discussed applications and algorithms of AI in entertainment, computer vision, and large language models for investing. A highlight of the meeting can be found at here.
