Zhilin Zhang

Dr. Zhang is a distinguished AI expert with over 15 years of expertise in AI/machine learning, signal processing, and time series analysis. He is the founder and CEO of Lumos Alpha, an AI-powered hedge fund firm. He received his Ph.D. in machine learning and signal processing from the University of California, San Diego.

Dr. Zhang has received more than 20 awards from the industry, and was recognized as one of the "Top 50 Distinguished Chinese Data Scientists" by the First Finance in 2019. In academia, he has published over 60 academic papers on machine learning and signal processing. Among these, four papers have been listed as "most cited articles" in leading academic journals, and one was awarded second place in the 2019 Best Papers by the IEEE Engineering in Medicine & Biology Society. He was elected as a technical committee member of the IEEE EMB Society and serves as an editor for several IEEE journals. He was recently recognized as a Top Scholar in Bayesian Inference (one branch of machine learning) by ScholarGPS.
